Tint on Ride mobile window tinting FAQ

Here at Tint on Ride we pride ourself in not only our mobile window tinting abilities, but our customer relationships as well! We have compiled some FAQ’s that we get from our valued Tasmanian customers.

How long will it take to tint my windows mobile?

Mobile car window tinting can take anywhere from 1 hour to 5 hours depending on the vehicle, but as a customer of Tint on Ride we can come to your home or business so you can carry on your day as normal.

What is a lifetime warranty?

The BLACK ARMOR lifetime warranty films installed by Tint on Ride covers against cracking, bubbling, delamination, and fading for the life of the film. So if you have any issues, you can bring it straight back to us!

Is your tint the same as "factory tinted" glass?

Factory window tint involves a pigment that’s applied to the glass during the manufacturing process, so it doesn’t have the ability to reduce UV radiation or heat. Black Armor window film adheres to the surface of the glass, providing you with such benefits as UV protection, advanced heat reduction and glare reduction.

How do I clean tinted windows?

Tinted windows do not require special cleaners, but it’s best to avoid glass cleaner with ammonia or scraping the tint with a blade, as it can damage the window tint. Here at Tint on Ride, we recommend cleaning your tinted windows can be cleaned with a soft, non-abrasive cloth for the best results.

Can you have window tinting applied to your windows in wet or cold weather?

Yes. Because of the modern adhesive systems on the films we use here at Tint on Ride, you can have your windows tinted even if the Tasmania weather is freezing outside. However, in adverse conditions, the curing time might take longer. Our professional installers consider the weather during the installation process.

How long should I keep my windows rolled up after I have window tint installed?

If windows are rolled down too soon after the installation, the window tint can peel off.  To avoid this, at Tasmania we recommend keeping your windows up for at least 7 days.

What causes window tinting to turn purple and bubble?

If you notice that your window tint is turning purple or bubbling, this can occur from exposure to UV rays from the sun and is a result of the film’s adhesive failing to work properly. To avoid this, you can purchase a brand-name window tint like Black Armor. We offer several different options that utilize a high-temperature adhesive system and reject up to 99% of UV rays, protecting against fading and bubbling so you vehicle can stay fresh in the Ontario weather.

Will the quality of mobile tinting be the same?

Despite what many customers may think, window tint is applied to the inside of the glass! So with the right techniques like the ones we use here at Tint on Ride, the outside elements of the Tasmania will not effect your quality!
